Nothing is changing in the newly born year, as we plan on continuing to supply you with announcements about additions of great bands. This time, it is a band from the headliner category. Finnish INSOMNIUM are here from 1997, reaching big international recognition after the change of millennia. Their base is definitely in the classic northern (aspecially Finnish) melodic death metal but with each next album, they change the genre, adding their own personality to it. Besides catchy riffs and crushing parts, they add a very strong atmospheric element to their music as well as a bit of melancholy on top. This is best showcased by their latest record "Shadows of the Dying Sun". Both heavy and fast riffs supported by melodic fills, strong growl of bassplayer Niilo Sevänen and singing of guitarist Ville Friman will create a great cloud of atmosphere hanging above the stage of GOTHOOM 6,66.
