SILENT STREAM OF GODDLES ELEGY, DEPRESY, EDITOR, ORKRIST, PYOPOESY
1995, 1991, 1988, 2000, 1994. What do these numbers have in common? These are all years when the bands we are adding today came into being. They all have reached and most surpassed the boundary of adulthood and with this they have also achieved status of seasoned, cult or even legendary bands. They all also share the trait of being from either Slovak or Czech Republic.
Let's begin with SILENT STREAM OF GODLESS ELEGY. Once death/doom, now more progressive and multi genre masters of combining metal with the elements of Czech folklore. They will show us their fusion live and also how does their praised material from new album "Smutnice" work on stage.
DEPRESY, magicians from Laugaricio, have released a taste of their new material after 9 years. With our festival vegan chef, Hoyas (Attack of Rage) behind the drum kit, they seem to be in great shape and we can await another great record coming soon. Just another one in the line of great ones put out by this Slovak legend lead by guitarist Dirrt.
The most seasoned of our today's quintet of bands are EDITOR from Martin. Achieving the thirtieth year of service this year but without a tiniest loss of straightforwardness, drive, energy or anger. Their groovy combination of thrash and hard core will surely get you started.
Black/heavy/doom fans of J.R.R. Tolkien from ORKRIST have returned after long time. Although brief, their activity at the beginning of the millennium have gained them cult status and many voices calling for reunion. That happened this year and we can't miss the opportunity to invite them into out festival band family.
Lead by the prime person of metal in Banská Bystrica, Miroslav "Mirík" Lupták, PYOPOESY gained cult status long ago. Although they have slowed down their studio efforts, their dark version of melodic death metal will work flawlessly, as if they released an album every other year.
